UPDATE Cairngen Ant Tasks 1.2 Release

Looks like Eric Feminella has released an updated version of Cairngen. Since I posted about the 1.0 release I figured that I’d let you know about the udpate as well.

New features in Cairngen 1.2:

  • Complete support for Cairngorm 2.0
  • Complete support for Cairngorm 2.1
  • Complete support for Cairngorm 2.2
  • Added logging capabilities for all targets
  • Abstracted user / project specific properties. User properties are now located in the project.properties file.

HUGE List Resources for Freelancers!

There are a bunch of tools out there for all of use to use and abuse…mostly they are time killers for us procrastinators. Thanks to Freelanceswitch.com for their list of 101 resources for productivity and management. The list is categorized and described. There are some well known items, but also a few things that I’ve not run into yet.

Flex Style Explorer Spawns Offspring

The Flex Style Explorer has grown though 4 or 5 versions and now there are quite a few additions to its family. Peter Baird has posted links to many of the explorers out there:

Display a message on a long running .cfm page…

Since this questions comes up quite often, I’ve posted a quick solution from the ColdFusion Cookbook blog.
Check it out How can I display a message on a long-running page?

Basically use the <cfflush> tag to push contents to the user before the long process initiates.
Make sure you read the part about what doesn’t work after you use cfflush.
