It has been a little slower at Realeyes latley so I’ve had time to play a bit. While playing I’ve run into some pretty interesting things over the past week, so I thought I’d share a few of the links I liked.
Development:
RealEyes Media . RED|bug
Release an updated version recently. Nifty debugging/logger AIR app that we’ve built.
Contacts Data API - Google Code
API from google so you can “own” your contact data…pretty nifty implications.
Selenium
A test tool for web applications. Selenium tests run directly in a browser, just like real users do. It runs in Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Firefox on Windows, Linux, and Macintosh, Safari on the Mac. We have plans to target Safari on the iPhone in some months.

GTD:

Another (pretty cool) moleskin hack.

Yeah it’s a bad picture taken with an iPhone, but still cool!

Geeze! I feel like my head has been in the sand for the last couple of months. We’ve been extremely busy at Realeyes with a couple of projects. What’s funny is, none of the projects were Flex or AS3 - we’re talking AS2 and Coldfusion. These should be wrapping up here in the next couple of weeks and we’ll be able to get back in to the new and fun stuff.
We’ve been working on some presentation content for some upcoming conferences, so if I can sneak some time between my uppercase Void’s,
Also, with the launch of AIR and Flex 3 RMAUG is planning a nice big launch party with some great giveaways and fun freebies - not to mention the presenters and demos! Make sure you come to the meeting so you can get your 2 cents in some video that we’ll be shooting!
My RSS feed was hosed after we updated our DNS and created our sub-domains. It should be fixed now.

Well while I was at Max, I figured I’d take a couple of certifications. I’m now officially certified in:
Flex …

and Flash.

Yay me.
If you were looking for them, the presentation resources have been posted for David and Jun’s Max 2007 presentations on our labs site.
You can check out what we’re up to at RealEyes Media by checking out the RealEyes Lab site. We keep the latest happenings, projects, product releases and presentation information on the labs site so you can keep track of where we are and what we are doing.
So I finally bought a house! Got the shiny new keys yesterday!

I’m just really excited about it. So I thought I show everyone the keys that I’m going into debt for 30 years for!
Becuase I have tons of extra (ha!) time and incessant need to learn new things, I’m going to start a project that I’ve had in mind for a while: The project is a simple system to manage development items associated to multiple projects. Beacuse I want to learn about AJAX and its associated frameworks, I figured that I’d attempt the project while evaluating the following: script.aculo.us & Spry.
I’ll keep you updated on the progress, and any information/comments you can push my way will be greatly appreciated.
Also, I believe that the Rocky Mountain Adobe User’s Group is planning a presentation on AJAX in January.
I'm a senior developer at RealEyes Media, Adobe Certified Instructor and Adobe Certified Professional. Here you'll get my ideas and experience Flex, Flash, ColdFusion and related technologies as well as some generally off the wall stuff.
